The 2009 Fall Vocal Conference will be October 29, 30, 31at the CROWNE PLAZA BATON ROUGE.
All State students register at 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009, and participate in an evening of note check rehearsals.
Reading sessions, interest sessions, concert performances and rehearsals with the All State conductors begin on Friday morning, October 30, 2009.
The conference will conclude with performances by the Children's All State Choir , Youth All State Choir , Women's All State Choir , Men's All State Choir on Saturday, October 31, 2009. *College Honor Choir concert will be held on Friday, October 30th. TIME and LOCATION TBA.

The 2009 Fall Vocal Conference promises to be an event you will not want to miss. Our intense schedule of informative interest sessions, exciting reading sessions, performances by outstanding choirs, and of course, our Children's, Youth, Women’s All-State and Men's All State Choruses will make for a busy couple of days. Please plan to be in Baton Rouge to learn new techniques, be refreshed with your colleagues, and renew your commitment to the Vocal Art.
Children's All State Choir
The Children's All State Choir represents the most gifted fourth, fifth and sixth graders in Louisiana. The students are selected for this choir through a taped audition process in the fall. The All State Choir rehearses and performs during the annual Fall Vocal Conference, hosted by Louisiana ACDA in October.
Youth All State Choir
The Youth All State Choir is comprised of approximately 150 singers in the ( 6th grade boys with changed voices), and male/ females voices in the seventh, eighth and ninth grades. The choir is a mixed SATB group selected through a very competitive taped audition process in the fall. The Youth All State Choir rehearses and performs during the annual Fall Vocal Conference, hosted by Louisiana ACDA in October.
High School Women's
All State Choir
The Women's All State Choir is an SSAA group of up to 120 students. Tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade female students enrolled in a high school choral program in Louisiana are eligible to submit audition tapes in the fall for this highly selective ensemble. The Women's All State Choir rehearses and performs during the annual Fall Vocal Conference, hosted by Louisiana ACDA in October.
High School Men's
All State Choir ( NEW)
The Men's All State Choir is comprised of tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade male students enrolled in a high school choral program in Louisiana. They will follow an audition procedure for this highly selective ensemble.
College Honor Choir
The College Honor Choir is an SSAATTBB group of college singers. Students enrolled in a La. College Choral Program are eligible to submit audition recordings in early September for this outstanding choral group. The College Honor Choir will present a performance on Friday evening during the conference. Time/ location TBA
